Every Horse is designed to help riders record and reflect on completed work with their horses. This policy explains how the iPhone and Android apps handle information.
Information Every Horse handles
You may enter horse names, optional weekly session targets, Active, Paused, or Archived status, completed-session details, and optional Quick Notes. Session details can include a selected calendar day, recorded minutes, session type, primary purpose, and your estimate of the horse’s physical load.
Storage and continuity
Every Horse stores rider-entered information locally in the app’s private storage on your device. Every Horse does not create an Every Horse account, operate a separate horse-data server, or receive a separate server copy of your horse profiles, sessions, targets, or Quick Notes.
On iPhone
When you are signed into iCloud, Every Horse uses Apple’s private CloudKit database to synchronize your information through your Apple Account. This allows your history to return after you replace an iPhone or reinstall the app. The synchronized copy is stored by Apple in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account.
If iCloud is unavailable, the app continues saving locally and synchronization resumes when Apple’s service becomes available. Your normal Apple device backup or device-transfer settings may also include Every Horse data. These Apple services are controlled by your Apple Account and device settings and are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policies.
On Android
Every Horse stores your information in its private local database on your Android device. It does not continuously synchronize horse profiles, sessions, targets, or Quick Notes between Android devices.
When Android backup is enabled and the device supports encrypted backup, Android may include the private Every Horse library and onboarding-completion setting in a backup associated with your Google Account. Android’s device-transfer service may also transfer that information to a replacement device. Subscription status and private review access are excluded from the Every Horse backup configuration. These Android services are controlled by your Google Account and device settings and are governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies.
Data collection and tracking
Every Horse does not:
- Collect personal data through an Every Horse server
- Use advertising or advertising identifiers
- Track riders across apps or websites
- Include third-party analytics or advertising tools
- Sell rider or horse information
- Access contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, Apple Health, Health Connect, or other protected device information
Subscriptions and purchases
Every Horse offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes payment credentials, purchase confirmation, renewal, cancellation, and refund activity under its own terms and privacy policies. Every Horse does not ask for or store your payment-card information.
The app receives store-provided product, purchase, and subscription status on your device so it can present plans and determine whether paid features are available. On Android, the app also acknowledges completed purchases directly with Google Play. Every Horse does not send horse records, Quick Notes, purchase tokens, or payment credentials to an Every Horse server.
Quick Notes
Quick Notes are optional rider-written text stored as part of the session record. On iPhone, they may privately synchronize through your iCloud account. On Android, they may be included in Android backup or device transfer with the rest of the private local library. Every Horse does not analyze, categorize, diagnose, or interpret Quick Notes and does not treat them as medical or veterinary records.
Rider-controlled exports and sharing
You can choose to export a rider-data backup containing horse profiles, sessions, targets, plan history, and Quick Notes. The unencrypted .everyhorse file is created on your device and is saved or shared only to the location you choose through the device’s system interface. Every Horse does not receive a copy. A compatible backup can be imported on iPhone or Android and replaces the current Every Horse library only after validation, preview, and confirmation.
Monthly sharing cards are created on your device and do not include Quick Notes. On iPhone, you can also create a private monthly PDF report containing a selected horse’s session details and exact Quick Notes. Reports, cards, and backup files leave the app only when you choose a destination through the device’s system interface.
Retention and deletion
Information remains in the app’s local storage until you edit or delete it, clear or delete the app and its local data, erase the device, or restore or transfer device data through operating-system services.
On iPhone, information synchronized to your private iCloud database may remain available after the app is deleted and can return after reinstallation. You can manage Every Horse’s iCloud data through Apple’s iCloud storage controls. Synchronized deletions propagate through CloudKit.
On Android, information included in Android backup may return during reinstallation or device setup according to your Google Account and device backup settings. You can manage device backups through Android and your Google Account.
Session deletion requires confirmation and temporarily offers Undo within the app. Archiving a horse preserves that horse’s sessions, Quick Notes, targets, and plan history. Permanently deleting an archived horse removes that horse and all related history from the app. On iPhone, that permanent deletion also propagates through private CloudKit. Permanent horse deletion cannot be undone.
Because Every Horse has no rider account or developer-operated horse-data server copy, Every Horse cannot remotely retrieve, change, or delete records stored on your device, in your private iCloud database, or in an Android system backup.
Children
Every Horse is a general-audience equestrian utility and is not specifically directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other riders through an Every Horse server.
Changes to this policy
If Every Horse later changes how information is stored, shared, or handled, this policy and the applicable App Store privacy or Google Play Data safety disclosures will be reviewed and updated before that change is released.
